Over 1700 people across a myriad of industries have attended his "High Performance Sales Training" programs. In 2018 over 500+ people have undergone Richard's goal setting and mentoring program.
Richard has spent the last 7 years working with Ingenia Communities (a leading owner, operator and developer of a diversified portfolio of seniors housing communities). Richard wrote and implemented a national training program developing the village managers & project sales managers in operations and sales, real estate, tourism & hospitality.
Richard continues to work with; Channel 9, The Australian Radio Network, Macquarie Media, Nova Entertainment, Canberra FM, EON Broadcasting: The Sunshine Coast Media Centre, Sydney's 2CH, The Target Radio Network, Vintage FM, Southern Cross Austereo, Hot Tomato, Grant Broadcasters & Numerous independent radio stations across the country and abroad. Richard has been a guest lecturer at AFTRS for the last 11 years.
Richard has spent the last 2 years working with London's brand-new digital radio station targeting tradespeople; Fix Radio. He has also invested in the stations parent company Fix Media. Watch this space closely.
He has also developed & implemented training programs and continues to work with; Kennards Hire, LG Life's Good, Kmart Tyre and Auto Service, IGA Supermarkets, The Professionals Real Estate, Virgin Active, Tile Mega Mart, Body Sculpting Clinics, Leisure Pools and Spas, Media Smiths Agency and a host of other retail businesses where his focus is on Customer Service & Retail Sales.
A fully qualified teacher Richard spent 10 years teaching in private colleges, 5 of those years being at the prestigious Nudgee College in Brisbane. He then made the switch from the classroom to the corporate world commencing his career in sales as the NSW State Sales Manager for AC&T in 1999.
Richard commenced his career in media when he joined the Australian Radio Network as an Account Manager on Mix1065 (KiiS1065) in 2002. After demonstrating much success, he was promoted to Sales Manager on Classic Hits WSFM. His career history and talent for training and developing staff soon surfaced and he took on the additional responsibility for coordinating sales training in Sydney.
Richard was then promoted to a national role as the National Training Manager with 200 sales staff under his guidance. He specialised in the initial then ongoing training and development of all sales related staff, through induction to account managing to sales management, right across Australia. His time was divided between direct and agency sales and the ongoing development of all sales managers across 11 radio stations. He was across everything to do with sales, digital, online and ran the acquisition programs. He held this position for 5 years before branching out on his own.
Richard keeps up to date with all training, coaching and mentoring techniques. His style is welcoming, real, engaging and highly motivating. He is highly driven and extremely focused on achieving big goals. Everything he does is focused on results.
Richard enjoys the challenges of extreme endurance events having completed 8 marathons and an 100km ultra-marathon. He loves multi-sport activities and competes regularly in the Ironman70.3 and Olympic distance triathlons.
